It's been a while......

I have been so busy with finishing school, growing a baby, moving, and an adorable toddler I have barely had time to breathe, let alone work on photography stuff. BUT I am now going to make myself take 30 min to an hour a day to focus on this so I can get this business back on track!!!! I love it so much and I just haven't put into it what I want to and with the annoying complications of a computer and the post office I need to figure something else out.

Anyway....To start it off is Mandi's Maternity. I love love love how they all turned out. She is the most beautiful preggo lady I have seen bc she has that perfect round belly! :) I hope they love them as much as I do!

I will be doing a catch up post hopefully this weekend and put up all the amazing people that I have been taking pictures of over the last 6 months!! :)

Kaden - 6 days!

Mindy and Ryan were nice enough to let me come shoot my FIRST newborn- sweet Mr. Kaden! He was so adorable and tiny! Makes me want another one! Ha! :) And Kynzlee was such a good big sister by giving him kisses anytime he was crying! I enjoyed playing with light and props, but I was loving the shots of baby feet and sleeping faces! Thanks again guys and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Julian and Andrea

On my fast trip to Lubbock my friend Andrea was nice enough to pick me up from the airport, so I thought I would have a quick session up at Tech getting ready for football season and Mr. Julian turning three!! We had some laughs and he enjoyed throwing the football around!

Mandi, Randy, and Jason

Driving through Abilene I stopped to take a few pictures of my friends! I have known these guys for a while now and we have been through a lot. Jason and Marlee are 6 weeks apart and Mandi is now pregnant with #2! (Look for her maternity shoot later this year!) They are such a sweet and Godly family. It was a joy to take some fast pics and thanks for the practice guys!!

BTW-- for some reason blogger is not giving justice to the pics with color, clarity, and such. Facebook seems to be doing a much better job. If anyone knows why this is please let me know, otherwise I will ask during my classes :)

Courtney and Luke

Finally got a chance to finish this sweet mama and son's pictures. Been busy with Marlee, back and forth to Lubbock, and getting ready to start work again! I hope that one day this will be my only job (well besides me being a mom!) since I love it so much! I start my first photography class this week too! I am super pumped to see what I can learn! Here are some of my favorites... there really are too many because they are such good models.... but here are just a few!

Learning and Cookies

I have officially been bitten by the bug. I am obsessed with photography and all that it entails. Here it is 2:30am and I am sitting around reading blogs about how to do things with light and water, etc. That and going back and forth between editing Luke and Courtney's pics (post to come later, but how adorable is he?).

 There is just SO much I want to learn and I want to be good at it....now. I guess it is just the perfectionist in me. I did sign up for my first classes and I can't wait to see what I can pick up from those! :) Now on to today's lessons: To be a children's photographer you need a distraction toy. I am thinking something that spins around and lights up. There were so many cute pics today that I had him smiling in, but I cut off his or Courtney's head because I was playing peek-a-boo. Second thing: Two words- RAW and Photoshop. If I could draw little hearts around those words I would! Tomorrow I am driving to Abilene to take pics of my friends the Holt's! I am hoping some of the knowledge I gained today I can use tomorrow (or today rather since its now 2:40!)

My first photoshoot: Caitlyn's THREE

Caitlyn is my 'niece'. Her mama is my best friend and she was nice enough to let me borrow her kiddo for a few minutes to take pictures in her birthday outfit! I canNOT believe she is going to be three.
