Learning and Cookies

I have officially been bitten by the bug. I am obsessed with photography and all that it entails. Here it is 2:30am and I am sitting around reading blogs about how to do things with light and water, etc. That and going back and forth between editing Luke and Courtney's pics (post to come later, but how adorable is he?).

There is just SO much I want to learn and I want to be good at it....now. I guess it is just the perfectionist in me. I did sign up for my first classes and I can't wait to see what I can pick up from those! :) Now on to today's lessons: To be a children's photographer you need a distraction toy. I am thinking something that spins around and lights up. There were so many cute pics today that I had him smiling in, but I cut off his or Courtney's head because I was playing peek-a-boo. Second thing: Two words- RAW and Photoshop. If I could draw little hearts around those words I would! Tomorrow I am driving to Abilene to take pics of my friends the Holt's! I am hoping some of the knowledge I gained today I can use tomorrow (or today rather since its now 2:40!)

Just for fun! :)
Here is some pics of Marlee and her Gigi making cookies. It melts my heart to see them together and all the fun they are going to have!

My first photoshoot: Caitlyn's THREE

Caitlyn is my 'niece'. Her mama is my best friend and she was nice enough to let me borrow her kiddo for a few minutes to take pictures in her birthday outfit! I canNOT believe she is going to be three. Seems like just yesterday she called me telling me Cait had been born!!

Here goes nothing!

I am starting a photography business.
Those are words I never realized I would say, but since Marlee has been born that seems to be all I do. Might as well pass on this passion and get some use out of it. I gave been a photography blog stalker for as long as I can remember and anyone has been to my house can tell you how much I LOVE pictures. I feel like God has given me the opportunity to share this gift at the right time in my life. I hope that you will enjoy this blog and my work as I grow and learn over the next couple of years!
